Erik Skoglund: "Mentalt känner jag mig starkare än någonsin"

Den 16 september kommer obesegrade Erik Skoglund (26-0) att göra debut i sin nya viktklass: Supermellanvikt.
Skoglund är bokad för en match under World Boxing Super Series, där han kommer att möta brittiske Callum Smith. Matchen går av stapeln i Liverpool, och det är inte vilken matchning som helst. Det är en kvartsfinal i supermellanviktsturneringen, men också början på en väg som kan leda till WBC Diamond Belt. Åtta fighters kämpar om bältet. Utöver Erik Skoglund och Callum Smith är de sex övriga aktörerna Robert Brandt, Jürgen Brähmer, George Groves, Jamie Cox, Chris Eubank Jr och Avni Yildirim.
Skoglund kommenterar matchningen till Askari Magazine:
Det blir en tuff match mot Smith. Han är en av storfavoriterna att vinna hela turneringen och jag är verkligen underdog. Det ska bli skönt att slå underifrån för en gångs skull och slippa pressen som jag haft på mig varje match sedan jag blev proffs.
Hur laddar du upp mentalt inför turneringen ?
Jag laddar som vanligt med hård träning, noggrann analys av motstånd och bra sparring. Mentalt känner jag mig starkare än någonsin. Jag försöker bara att slappna av och få ut min boxning.
Vad skulle bältet innebära för din karriär?
Att vinna WBC Diamond Belt och säkra en plats i semifinal skulle betyda allt för mig. Det är en sån hör möjlighet jag har jobbat för att få i hela mitt liv.
Om World Boxing Super Series:
World Super Series är en satsning från de stora boxningsorganisationerna med målet att matcha de bästa boxarna för att utse en sann mästare.
Två viktklasser väljs ut för varje omgång, och åtta boxare i varje viktklass. Denna omgång är de utvalda viktklasserna: Cruiservikt, och supermellanvikt.
Boxarna tävlar om: WBC Diamond Belt, och Muhammad Ali Trophy.
För denna omgång hålls kvartfinalerna i september och oktober 2017. Semifinalerna i januari och februari 2018 samt finalen i mars 2018.
Uppställningen inför supermellanvikt ser ut som följande:

Ordering Custom Made Clothing and Gear
Ordering custom clothing and gear is easy, but it's important to understand our shipping policies. When you order custom items such as muay thai shorts, MMA shorts, boxing gloves, or any other custom product, they will be shipped directly from our factory located outside the European Union (EU).
If you're an EU customer, please be aware that you will be responsible for paying import taxes and duties upon delivery. Customers outside the EU will also be responsible for paying taxes and duties, as is typical when ordering from international companies.
Keep in mind that all international customers are responsible for paying customs import taxes and duties within their own country.
To help you with this process, we will include an invoice with each parcel, stating the full amount of the package.

We offer free exchanges at Askari™. If you want to exchange for another size or a new product, we will provide you a free return label that you can print out and send back the product you want to exchange. Once we have received your return we will immediately send you the new size or product you want to exchange to. We cannot guarantee the item you would like will still be available when the return reaches our department. If the size or product is not available, you will then be issued store credit for the returned item which you may use to purchase a new product.

We understand that sometimes things don't work out as planned. If you wish to return your order, you are responsible for sending it back to us.

You can always feel safe when buying from Askari. All items received for return within 30 days will be completely refunded. If an item is received between 30-45 days, it will be returned as store credit. Your refund is first processed when the product reaches our warehouse. We recommend the use of an insured parcel service for international returns. Please retain the proof of postage as we cannot issue refunds for items we do not receive. Askari does not cover the cost of the shipping cost for returning items outside of Sweden.
All of our products are carefully checked before they are packaged. If an item is received damaged or defective, customer service needs to be notified within 3 days for an order replacement of a new product. Notification past the 3-day return window will not be eligible for a refund or replacement.
We guarantee that the products you have ordered are in good shape when you receive them. If you receive a broken or wrong product, please contact customer service as soon as possible.
We aim to send you the correct order every time, however, we are all human and mistakes are inevitable. If for any reason your items are faulty or incorrect, please get in touch immediately via email. We allow 30 days from purchase to refund/exchange a faulty item.
